DAY ONE: KL > FUKUOKA

State of mind: frantic
Current soundtrack: Rurouni Kenshin - Heart of Sword ~yoake mae~ (TM Revolution)

Finished packing at around 3-something p.m. and headed for the airport—yes, lugging all that stuff, with the travel log around my neck @_@. Sorta like a little black albatross! Unfortunately the albatross’ spine started breaking and male parental unit would NOT stop giving me flak over it for the next seven days. Ohboy. Once off to check in, I swear I saw my big boss checking OUT. Must ask around and see if he was out on hols…

Had a very sad KFC dinner (this is what you eat on your last night?!), got mistaken for a foreigner(?) and got frisked once at security. My thick black jacket kept falling off, much to one’s irritation. >_<+ The MAS flight MH0607 roared off into the cloudy night sky, and not too long after we blundered our way off to our seats. Mind you, I was still lugging a lot of stuff, which smashed into people’s seats in my wake. Sorry folks. Still, got to the place all right, sipped scalding hot tea and chilled. We have now established MAS pilots can fly planes, but cannot land for NUTS. Also, it’s like a rule of the world that you WILL get stuck in a flight with one kid who cannot handle the pressure changes in the plane. No, kid, miles and miles up in the air is not a good time to express the wish that you “wanna go out!”

Changi Airport, 2230 - Ran through a convoluted dance of checking luggage in and out to keep it extra super-specially safe, and then fled for boarding passes. 1.75 hours to kill before boarding. I CAN HAS CHAIR? I HAS A CHAIR. U NO B STEALING MAH CHAIR.

Nothing to make you feel more antique than the sight of two leetle mat salleh girls playing the A-B-C handclap game (complete with ‘guess-what-finger-I-poked-you-in-the-neck-with’), when you’ve not seen or played it for almost 10 years. I AM LEGEND DATED. Now I wanna play it with someone.

Changi Airport has automated drinking fountains! OMNOMNOMNOM. I drooled over them like a dork—and actually, yanno, drank from them. :D Spent some time with Dad puzzling which country uses the term 食用水 and 飲用水. (China and Japan respectively, it seems.)

Went through the exhibition of William Farquhar's nature sketches up on the airport’s highest level (sorry, only pictures of Farquhar, no sketchies D:) and had some supper. Burger King taro pies be quite tasty—and I don’t even like wu tao!

SQ656, 0100 - …Well, it’s on. We’re off to Fukuoka, what else do you want me to say? 8D I was kinda hoping to get to sit next to a kiut Japanese guy, seeing there was a big bunch of students on the flight, but it was not to be. A kiut guy came out of the toilet, though. :D;;;

...I should go to sleep.
