Happy Chinese New Year! What did you do with yours? I finally got round to watching Ultraseven X—uh, yes, almost all of it in one sitting. *sheepish* I am a wibbling fool, thanks to the ending. That's WRONG, man! It's full of illegal amounts of squee! [spoiler]At least there's a universe/proof out there where Dan and Anne may live happily ever after. They're only the oldest couple to set fangirls' hearts ablaze with the hope of interplanetary romance![/spoiler]

   • Hikari - Renaissance man with a sword and an angsty past. :D
     
   • Mebius - The young warrior who never says die!
     
   • Dyna - Proof that hey, Ultraman can be funny AND deep!
     
   • Tiga - Something so completely different I thought I could never like it. Still, over the seas he came, and hooked I became. Speaking like Yoda now, I am.

   • Hanejirou - Peanuts! 'Pamu'! Puppy dog eyes!
     
   • Lim-Eleking - The cutest chirp this side of the fandom.
     
   • Mew - Tragic little jobbie, he was.
     
   • Sheila - the mutated parakeet with the death wish.
     
   • Guardie - Only the best dog an Ultran could wish for. THANK YOU FOR KILLING HIM, MASAKI, YOU WASTE OF GENETIC MATERIAL.

   • Zoffy's M87 Beam - A miraculous 870°C bolt of awesome.
     
   • SF!Ultraman's Specium Ultra Light Wave (oi!) - A...very, very, BIG bolt of awesome.
     
   • Mebius' Mebium Blade and Hikari's Knight Beam Blade - wrist-blades of awesome and doom.
     
   • Ace Sword - for the, erm, wtf factor.
     
   • Leo's chimney-chucks of doom - because I get a kick out of them in UFE 0 :D
   
   
4. Your 5 favourite teams:
   
   • Night Raiders - dark, serious and full of surprises.
     
   • CREW GUYS - Formulaic yet strangely random. And they WORK.
     
   • Super GUTS - See comment about Dyna. Hibiki yelling at everybody is awesome.
     
   • GUTS - It was interesting to see how the old tropes translated into the Heisei fandom?
     
   • ZAT - The eternal fandom clowns.
     
   
   
5. Your 5 favourite episodes:
   
   • Pride of GUYS (Mebius #10) - Mebius holds Tsurugi's hand as he's dying. Enough said.
   • Distant Baohn (Dyna #8) - Before Baohn, Dyna was just another series. After Baohn, Dyna was fiercely loved and squeed over. The spitting in the palms! The sumo stomp! The triple twirl as he falls down fast asleep! Sulking Baohn! The list goes on and on!
     
   • Offence and Defence of Zelda Point (Tiga #32) - in which there is a monster fighting for final justice. This rocks so hard, on so many levels. Oh yeah and it made me cry too.
   • The Devil's Judgement (Tiga #25) - I think this is the best example of how Tiga draws strength from 'the light of humans'.
   • Eiyuu -Hero- (Nexus #24) - The one where Himeya!Nexus fights his final battle and gains his personal redemption. Again, this rocks so hard on so many levels.

   • Gatanozooa - upside-down nautilus/ammonite reject, yes. But upside-down nautilus reject who rules the darkness, and has a beam of rip-roaring death. I still wince thinking about its effects.
     
   • Zoigar - Gata's minions.
     
   • Kirieloid v2 - The man is scary. D:
   • Emperor Seijin - Not quite the dude from Mebius. The original mysterious dude who occupied the Land of Light. Somehow, skimpy bodysuit with stuff pasted on doesn't quite scream "ultimate evil!" to me. A static, out-of-proportion shadow does the job much better. Which is sad.
   • Unknown Hand - Sneaky, conniving, manipulative, heartless bastid. Just the sort you'd call to off your enemies!
